Potion Lesson 1: Rules! Empty
PostSubject: Potion Lesson 1: Rules!   Potion Lesson 1: Rules! EmptyFri Dec 04, 2009 12:20 pm

Professor PheonixFyre entered her class, her starry black cloak billowing behind her. She reached her desk and turned sharply on her heels looking upon the faces of her first years. She eyed each of them labeling them in her mind which were trouble-makers and which were going to be hard-workers in this subject.
A couple of students squirmed uncomfortably in their seats wondering why she hadn't said a single word since she'd walked in. She circled the room once she got back to her desk again she smiled.
"You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion-making." She paused doing a sweep of the students faces. "As there is little foolish wand waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through the human veins.... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death." She saw the anticipation on the faces of her first years.
"But first we must learn the rules of the classroom. Today that is where we start. In this class I expect you to keep up with your work. All work should be labeled with a name, date and lesson! If this is not done it will immediantly be thrown away! NO EXCEPTIONS!" She slapped a hand down on her desk for effect.
"I do not take late work. So do not come to me with it, because it will be thrown away. If you miss 3 assignments or 2 tests you are out of my class till next term unless, that is, you have a good reason. If so we will discuss your make-up work. And you must pass my final to move up in this class. Don't fret it will be easy if you pay attention."
"Respect me and I shall respect you got it? I do not tolerate disrespect. Let this be your warning because first time it happens you are out of my class. Mistakes cost you, sometimes even your life, so no goofing off got it?"
Students gave her a curt nod and she clapped her hands together smiling.
"Good now for your first homework assignment!"
Turn this in by PM please!

Homework

1. True/False Potions is NOT magic.
2. Homework is labeled with what?
3. What's my policy with respect? (One line.)
4. Goofing off is accepted when?
5. Mistakes can sometimes cost what?
e.c. What does Professor PheonixFyre's cloak look like?
