As a wise Professor of mine once said "Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."
As you know, I am Headmistress Day, or Professor Day. I prefer to be called Professor, because Headmistress is too fancy for my liking. I am usually a very laid back person, but if you decide to "goof off" in my class, you will be gone.
I am not a very strict teacher, but I can be mean if you give me reason not to like and respect you.
If you treat me right, I will return the favor.
As a first year, we will only be covering simple transfiguration spells.
Like Charmwork, Transfiguration is achieved through concentration, precise wand movements, and the proper pronunciation of an incantation. However it is generally more difficult than Charms and it requires great effort.
We will begin learning simple things, such as turning a match into a needle. This is what most start off with.
**Transfiguration class, along with Potions, Defense against the dark arts, Herbology, and Charms, is required for ALL first years.**
